26 DAYS UNTIL MY NEXT ADVENTURE: AUSTRALIA!
I want a new camera for my travels, but when it comes to photography and cameras I’m pretty clueless. I want a DSLR camera (preferably for beginners) which is relatively cheap; under £500. At the moment I have my eyes on the Nikon D3100, but I’m still unsure. HELP please!
I’m so sick of the way people just expect you to live your life a certain way, and if you deviate from this ‘ideal’ way of life, you are frowned upon. Go to school, go to college, go to university, get a proper grown up job, get a boyfriend, get engaged, get married, have a baby… die. I’m sorry, but I am not buying in to this lifestyle I’m just ‘expected’ to have. Now, I’m not saying I don’t ever want to get married or have children, because one day I guess that’s what I’ll want (eventually). I’ve done the whole education thing (which is a start), and despite my grandma constantly saying to me: “so when are you going to use this degree of yours and get a proper job?” I do intend to use my degree one day. As I always say to her: “It’s not bloody going anywhere!” There’s no expiry date on a degree. But there’s an expiry date on life. And there’s an expiry date on youth. If you can’t travel the world, have new experiences, and enjoy a life of no-commitments when you are a still young, then when can you?! Besides, I think it’s those people that are living this so-called ‘ideal’ lifestyle that need to take a long hard look at themselves, not me.
